CERTIFICATION LEVELS
There are currently three levels of certification for experiential therapists through ASET.
Level I (CET I) certification requires:
- That the therapist possess at least a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a field relevant to his/her area of practice. That the therapist have Psychodrama and/or Experiential Therapy training. That after initial certification the therapist agree to and provide evidence of 5 hours a year approved Psychodrama, Experiential Therapy or Addictions training
- Fulfill all application requirements
Level II (CET II) certification, in addition to satisfactorily meeting all requirements for Level I above, requires at least a master’s degree from an accredited university in a field relevant to the member’s areas of practice.
Level III (CET III) certification, is reserved for members who have earned a doctorate degree from an accredited university in a field relevant to the member's areas of practice or members who are a TEP as recognized by the American Board of Examiners in Psychodrama, Sociometry & Group Psychotherapy.
