Al Adams, LPC/MHSP, CET II

Al Adams is a Licensed Professional Counselor/ Mental Health Service Provider, and a Certified Experiential Therapist. He began his training in the field of addictions while serving with the US Navy, where he also received initial training in Experiential Therapy. Since 1974 Al has received over 1200 hours of advanced training in Addictions, Psychodrama and Experiential Therapies. His trainers have included some of the pioneers in the fields of Experiential Therapy and Psychodrama. In 1990 Al successfully completed an internship with Onsite Workshops in Experiential Therapy and an additional internship in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy in 1999. Since 1990 he has served as a Consultant to several of the premier treatment facilities in the United States.

During a long career Al has provided services to military service members and their families, Individuals, Families and Couples. Additionally, he has taught classes in Experiential Therapies and Psychodrama in Universities to graduate level students. Other positions have seen Al serve as Director for the Adult unit of a 60 bed treatment facility, Director of Family Program’s and Clinical Supervisor at Onsite Workshops.

Mr. Adams is a founding member of the American Society of Experiential Therapists and currently serves on the Board of Directors.

Joan Furman MSN, RN, AHN-BC, CET II

Bill has a Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University and is licensed as a Senior Psychological Examiner. As a therapist he has worked with individuals and couples struggling with addictions, depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief & loss, and helping many who have lost their passion or motivation in life. Much of his work has been with high profile entertainers in the music business and with physicians & health care professionals.

Bill currently serves as the clinical director of Onsite. His priorities as clinical director are to insure the clinical integrity of Onsite programs, to support group leaders in every way possible and promote the growth of their clinical skills and other professionals with our training institutes, to provide “ridiculous” service to our participants, to encourage Onsite staff to live what we teach, and to have a spiritual center to all our work.
